We have had a very successful first summer with lots of visitors at most of our open afternoons. Thank you to those who have supported us and to those who have helped with serving and baking. Among our visitors we have had a couple from South Africa, visiting their family in Puttenham, some Germans who had an afternoon to spare in the Guildford area and to whom a friend had said Puttenham is a pretty village, why don’t you go there?, some old friends who have moved away and came back to see the new extension, walkers, cyclists and, of course, lots of local friends and neighbours, many of whom come every time we are open! Do they come for the company or for the cakes?
