Posda
Posada and Christmas Posada originates from Mexico where people dress as Mary and Joseph and travel from house to house telling people of the birth of Jesus and asking for room.
The idea has been used successfully by many parishes, by sending the figures of Mary, Joseph and Jesus from house to house during Advent.
In Seale and Puttenham on Christmas Eve, and at the Wanborough Carol Service the crib comes to Church and all are invited to gather round the Holy Family for worship.
